Planning Application

Planning applications for 150 houses and 350 houses on ‘Land to the West of Bradgate Road Anstey’ has now been officially submitted.

There are two separate applications but they both cover one site and are submitted by the same developer.

The first is a full application for 150 dwellings including access, associated highways, drainage infrastructure and landscaping. The second application comprises of outline application (initially for access to the site only) for up to 350 dwellings, public parkland and amenity space, community uses, and a site for a two-form entry primary school and associated infrastructure.

Comments can be submitted on both the applications until 31st March 2022.  Both Deborah, David and Paul have asked for an extension on this time scale to enable us to ensure that Anstey and Newtown Linford residents are fully aware of the implications that these developments pose for our villages. All the details can be found on the Charnwood Borough Council Planning Explorer here and then enter the reference numbers  P/21/2358/2 for the 150 houses and P/21/2359/2 for the 350 houses.

Comments can also be sent by email to [email protected]  .

We are asking for as many residents as possible to submit their comments on both of these two applications. We consider this is over development of Anstey as we do not have the infrastructure in place to support any more additional houses.

We wish to get as many residents as possible aware of these planning applications. Therefore, if you could please ensure that you make your family and friends aware, so that residents of Anstey and Newtown Linford, are able to make any comments that they wish to heard.

If you do wish to leave your comments on the proposed plans please remember to leave comments on BOTH applications so that your thoughts are noted on each individual planning application.
