I do need to start with some sad news. The former Leader of Leicestershire County Council, Nick Rushton, sadly passed away on Tuesday, 21 July.Nick dedicated nearly three decades of his life to serving the residents of Leicestershire through the County Council.

On Wednesday 4th March, I attended the Loughborough Town Deal ‘Impact and Opportunity Business Lunch’ at Loughborough Town Hall.The event included updates on the 11 projects that are worth more than £50 million of investment into the town,backed by £16.9 million of Government funding.

On a cold but dry Sunday morning, I joined the Bradgate Rotary ‘Freeze your Bits and Bobs Off’ charity walk through Bradgate Park, raising money for ‘Breast Cancer Now’ and ‘Prostaid’. There was a great turn out and people were wearing some fantastic outfits.
