It has been a fairly quiet month for meetings as many people are enjoying a nice summer break with the children off school.
I have been to Chesterfield to meet the new elected Mayor of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and discussed how we can work together for the benefit of all our residents.

We are aware that many of our residents have been concerned about the public disorder we have seen across the country in recent weeks. We wanted to reassure residents that we receive regular updates from the local police team in Leicestershire and our local councils.
We are aware of many telegraph poles being/have been installed across Anstey in multiple locations.
We have had several residents contact us to complain about the locations.
These poles are installed under permitted development rules and therefore are not consulted on.

During the pre-election period, there are limited activities and events that councillors can take part in, due to compliance with election law.

The new Mayor has taken the Chains of Office at Charnwood Borough Council. At the Annual Council meeting on Monday 13th May, Cllr. Dr. Julie Bradshaw MBE became the new Mayor and Cllr.
March has been a remarkably busy month and I am looking forward to a rest over Easter and to eating my chocolate egg, of course!
Towards the end of February, I travelled to Warwickshire to attend the Conservatives Councillors Association conference, with colleagues from Leicestershire.
