Deborah was born in the north of England, living in different areas of the UK as a child. Deborah is married with one daughter and has lived in Anstey for over 17 years, with her husband Paul and their two rescue dogs, Duke and Bliss.
Around £60,000 has been awarded in grants to community groups across Charnwood.
The Borough Council has provided Charnwood Community Grant funding to 12 community projects ranging from mental health and wellbeing groups to a recycling project for children.
August has been a quiet month, so we were able to get away for a week to Somerset. The weather was a bit rainy and windy, but both our dogs had a fantastic time running on the beaches every day.

Joy, a free health and wellbeing support website, has been launched to support people living and working in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR). Funded by the local NHS, Joy combines services provided by the NHS, local authorities, and the voluntary and community sector all in one place
Residents living in Charnwood have until midnight on Tuesday 16th April 2024 to register to vote in the Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election.
The next PCC elections will take place across England and Wales on May 2nd 2024.
You may have noticed that the new bus shelter has been erected at the Stadon Road bus stop. The team at the highways department at County Hall will now carry out the final stage road safety audit and then the project will be complete.
